Research* conducted by the world’s most popular wedding website, TheKnot.com.au -confirms summer is the most popular season for proposals in Australia with December being the month to get engaged.
Whether it’s down on one knee on Christmas Eve, a solitaire diamond hidden in a chocolate cake or even a cheeky proposal sent by SMS on NYE, 13% of couples declare their love in the festive month of December and celebrate during the months that follow. However, research also shows that the fun is over by March... only 5% of proposals happen at the start of autumn.
